RMHC H.E.L.P. Conference

WELCOME

Dear Member of the H.E.L.P. Community,

I am proud to welcome you, on behalf of RMHC Australia, to the International Health/Educators/ Learners/Parents (H.E.L.P.), 2019 Conference.

It’s inspiring to be in the presence of so many passionate advocates for children and families who encounter incredible challenges in the face of serious and chronic illness.

In the last year, RMHC Australia has supported more than 50,000 families of seriously ill children. Every day we are witness to the enormous impact of hospitalisation, treatment and lengthy rehabilitation – for the entire family. Like you, we are committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and families.

The theme of this year’s Conference is ‘Partners in Excellence’.

Over two days, we have the opportunity to hear from some exceptional speakers and be part of discussions which seek to identify the big issues around educational and psycho social outcomes for children with serious illness.

As professionals and parents, we want to hear from you and to share our collective knowledge to explore what lies ahead in the Health and Education spaces.

The agenda for the 2019 H.E.L.P. Conference is exciting, and I am really looking forward to sharing our program with you and meeting with many of you over the two days.

I hope you will leave feeling inspired, supported and with a sense that we are really in this together. It is only through working hand-in-hand that we can bridge the gap between Health and Education to improve future outcomes for students with serious illnesses and their families.

Warm wishes,

Barbara Ryan
